Virginia Cain

Virginia Cain grew up with Great Danes and Mastiffs. She has a lifelong passion for dogs and teaching, which intertwined when she found herself in need of a little extra help. Several years ago, Virginia got Sunny, a silver standard poodle, and trained him to be her service dog. Virginia and Sunny enjoy dog sports including tricks, nosework, rally, and fastCAT, and they love taking Saturday afternoon naps together. The two can be found at The University of Alabama, where Virginia is also pursuing her doctorate in American history.

Virginia loves helping dogs and their owners live together in harmony. She enjoys training basic obedience and teaching owners how to communicate clearly with their dogs. Her goal is to create confident dog and owner partnerships built on trust and understanding. Teaching dogs and people how to be safe is paramount. Even when working through difficult issues, Virginia likes to remind clients to enjoy the process and celebrate all improvements, big and small.
