Hey Hot Diggity Family!

As many of you may know, Tuscaloosa’s mayor Walt Maddox has issued a 24-hour curfew effective through April 30th. Over the past 2 weeks we’ve seen upwards of 50 boarding cancellations and a significant drop in daycamp numbers. Many of our clients are students who’ve traveled home- out of state, elderly who fear leaving home, workers working from home and keeping their dogs at home, or workers who’ve taken a substantial financial hit- All because of COVID-19.

In response to these trying times we have decided to discontinue daycamp until April 30th. We will be reevaluating daily and if anything changes, we will let you know. Previously scheduled boarding reservations will, of course, be honored. We believe this is in Hot Diggity’s and our community’s best interest. If you need us for any reason please call 205-345-4939 or email HDDCnorthport@gmail.com. These mailboxes will be checked daily.

Our number one priority has always been the safety of our Diggity dogs. Now we are prioritizing the safety of our Diggity Dog Parents. This decision is for the health and well-being of our community as we work to stay ahead of COVID-19. We are incredibly sad that it has come to this. Yet somehow, we feel a peace about it. We trust our mentors, advisers, and local leaders. We strongly believe that sooner than later, we will be able to be greeted with lots of puppy love and tail wags. Until then, we will post pictures and motivational quotes for everyone. Please feel free to post a picture of your babies, as they will be so missed.

We have been amazed with the amount of calls, texts and emails checking on the business and checking on us as individuals. The outpouring of love and support has been truly encouraging. We want to thank you all for everything, and we cannot wait to see you on the other side of this. We will miss our Diggity dogs and parents so much!

Sincerely,

Brooke, Liz, and the Diggity Team
